Big jobs are rarely paid in one hit. A deposit to lock it in, something along the way, the rest on completion. Bookings now handle that properly instead of asking you to invent it yourself.
- Build the stages the way you quote them. Take a percentage of the job, a fixed dollar amount, or simply whatever is left. Bookables adds it up as you go and will not let the stages come to more than the job is worth.
- A due date and a pay link on every stage. Each stage stands on its own, so your customer can pay the deposit today and the balance next month without you chasing a single number twice.
- You can see where it is up to. Paid, due and overdue are worked out from the stages themselves, so one glance at the booking tells you what has landed and what has not.
- Nothing is gated at the till. Collecting a stage always works, whatever plan you are on. Building a multi-stage schedule is a Pro feature.
