Common questions.
Usually not. A domestic pool is generally exempted development where it sits in the rear or side garden, stands no more than a metre above ground level, keeps a metre clear of the boundary, and leaves at least twenty-five square metres of open space per dwelling. The exemption falls away for a protected structure or an Architectural Conservation Area, where the planning authority has to be asked. Bookables holds the job record, not the consent.
