Built for your trade

Built for every kind of traffic control & management business

Utility and civil works

A water authority or a civil contractor needing stop-slow control while a trench is open. Day shifts, defined hours, and a plan already drawn.

Night road works and resurfacing

Ten at night to five in the morning with lane closures. A different rate, a different crew and a different set of people willing to do it.

Events, road closures and race days

A fun run or a street festival where the closure is the whole job and the client is a council or an event company rather than a builder.

Emergency and after-hours callouts

A burst main at eleven on a Sunday. Unplanned, urgent, and priced accordingly.

Priced and booked

A minimum shift length, applied automatically

A minimum charge on the service does the arithmetic before anyone agrees to anything, so a short job is priced at the floor and the client sees that number when they book.

Only carded controllers can be offered

Each service is attached only to the members holding the right ticket, so an untrained hand is never offered for the work, whatever the roster looks like elsewhere.

Nights, weekends and a 4am start priced apart

Day, night and emergency work run as separate services with their own rates, so the client booking a night closure sees a night rate rather than a Tuesday price.

Less admin, more bookings

Made for traffic control & management businesses

The shift is the unit, and it has a minimum

Nobody sends two controllers and a ute out for an hour, because the mobilisation costs more than the hour does. Set a minimum charge on the service and the arithmetic is done before anyone agrees to anything: a short job is priced at the minimum, the client sees that number when they book, and the awkward conversation about call-out fees never has to happen.

Only carded controllers can be offered

A person without the right ticket on a live site is a shutdown, not an inconvenience. Attach each service only to the team members who genuinely hold that qualification, and the booking page and the assignment list will not offer anybody else. What Bookables does not do is watch the expiry date for you, so the ticket register stays your job, but it does make sure the wrong name cannot be put against the work.

Nights, weekends and a four a.m. start

The rate for a Tuesday day shift and the rate for a Saturday night are not the same number and should not be the same service. Run them separately with their own hours, their own prices and their own crews, so the client booking a night closure sees night availability and a night rate, and your people are only offered the shifts they actually work.

The plan arrives before the crew does

Every shift has paperwork attached to it, and the crew turning up without the current version is the most common way a morning is wasted. Keep the site under the client with the plan reference, the permit number and the access arrangements on the record, so whoever is leading the shift opens the job with the same information you had when you priced it.

Common questions.

Yes. Services are attached to specific team members, so only the people you have assigned to that service can be booked or rostered onto it.

No, and it is worth being straight about that. There is no ticket register or expiry alerting. What you get is control over who can be offered for which service, so the register you keep elsewhere is actually enforced when work is assigned.

You can. Put a minimum charge on the service and short jobs are priced at that figure, visible to the client before they commit.

Yes. Drag the shift on the calendar or the team view and the assignment goes with it. The client is emailed the change, so the site knows before the crew arrives somewhere else.
