Bookables tells people by email when something needs doing, something changed or something is about to happen. You get emails about new bookings, requests and messages. Your customers get confirmations, reminders and anything they need to act on. Every email is on; there are no switches to set.
- New booking: a booking was confirmed.
- New request: a customer asked for a time and is waiting for you to accept.
- A customer moved their booking or A customer cancelled their booking.
- New message: a chat message is still unread 5 minutes after it was sent. You get one email per unread stretch, not one per message.
- A message did not go: an email to a customer failed.
Each email links straight to the booking or chat it's about.
Customers get an email for each step of their booking, written for your kind of business:
- A confirmation when it's booked, or when you accept their request.
- A reminder before it starts.
- When you move or cancel it, or decline a request.
- When a payment is due or overdue, with your bank details and a reference.
- Invoices and receipts.
- Quotes you send, and when a quote is about to expire.
Every email says what, when and where, and links to move or cancel where they're allowed to. Emails come from your business's name.
If an email can't be delivered, it isn't sent late. Instead a Notification failed row shows under Needs you on Today, with who it was for and the booking it was about. Choose Resend to try again. If it fails again, check the customer's email address on their record.
