A month of a round that never really ends.

Every horse you shoe comes back in six to eight weeks, so the useful question is never what is on today. It is who is due, and the month answers it in one look.

The remedial quote, and who has opened it.

A set that needs bars or glue-ons goes out as a link. You can see it was opened, so the follow-up is a question rather than a guess.

Trim, full set, or the remedial job.

The three prices an owner asks for, set out side by side on one document, with the one the horse actually needs marked recommended.

  • The interval keeps itself

Five weeks, eight weeks, whatever the horse holds. Standing arrangements are on the free plan and put the next visits into the book ahead of you.

  • Three prices, one document

A straightforward reshoe, a set with pads and clips, and the remedial work the vet has asked for, as three options with the middle recommended. Options come with Pro.

  • Move one visit, keep the round

Shift the horse whose owner is away and the rest of the pattern re-anchors to the new date, which saves rebuilding a year of visits by hand.

One gate priced line by line, each horse carrying its own work and its own rate.

Pro

One yard, eight owners, eight accounts.

Eight horses at one address seldom means one bill. Each owner stays their own customer, with their own horses, their own visits and their own money.

  • Eight bookings, one visit

Each owner gets a booking against the same address, back to back through the morning, so a single visit still leaves eight tidy records behind it.

  • Cash and transfer cost nothing

Write down what the owner handed over at the yard and the visit is square. Cards are the only part of the money that needs Pro; recording is free.

  • Or bill the yard, not the owners

Where the yard settles for everyone, make it the customer and give the visit a line per horse. What Bookables will not do is split one bill eight ways.

A list of payments, each with the customer, reference, date, method and amount, with totals received and still outstanding.

Every horse on the round

The work you actually carry out

Full set, hot shod

The routine reshoe, booked off the interval that horse holds rather than off a note in the jeep, and rebooked before you pull out the gate.

Fronts only

Its own price and its own duration, so a fronts horse does not quietly eat the slot you were holding for a full set at the next yard.

Trims and barefoot horses

The unshod horse on a longer interval of its own, so it appears when it is due rather than when the yard happens to think of it.

Shoes off for summer grass

Pull-offs recorded on the horse, so when it comes back into work in the autumn you know precisely what came off it and when.

Livery yard rounds

Eight horses in one yard, each its own record under its own owner, booked back to back so a single visit clears the lot.

Studs for point-to-point ground

Stud holes tapped as their own service with their own length, so a Saturday morning does not run over into the afternoon round.

Remedial work on veterinary referral

Heart bars, pads and glue-ons quoted as their own job at their own rate, with the reasoning kept on the horse where the vet can read it back.

First visit on a new horse

Priced apart from a routine reshoe, because the first look at a set of feet is where the interval and the whole record are set.

A laminitic pony on box rest

Short intervals, frequent visits and the reasoning written down, kept on that pony rather than on a page in the back of a diary.

Years of one horse, dated.

Every set of shoes, every trim, every pull-off, kept against the horse rather than in your head. It is what you hand a vet, a new owner or the person covering your round.

A lame horse rather ignores your cycle.

A sprung shoe or a horse pottery in front arrives as a request on the thread, with the owner account of it attached, rather than as a voicemail.

  • Accept it and it is a booking

One tap turns the request into a real visit at a real time. Decline it and the owner is told, which is rather better than silence.

  • The account stays on the horse

What the owner said, what you found and what you put on it all sit on that horse, so the following set of shoes does not begin from nothing.

  • They ask rather than ring elsewhere

A page with nothing left this week still takes the request, so the horse that cannot wait until Thursday remains yours rather than the next farrier.

A booking request inside a message thread, answered with accept or decline without leaving the conversation.

Unworkable ground moves the morning.

Nothing gets shod standing in mud. Drag the yard to a drier day and every booking on it moves together, owners and all, on any plan.

  • Drag a job, drag the yard

Move one visit or the whole morning to another day or another person, and commit the lot at once rather than ringing eight owners in turn.

  • Nobody is told until you say so

The changes sit as a draft until you commit them, and the owner hears about it only if you have switched that message on yourself.

  • The hours are yours

Availability comes off the hours you genuinely work, so nothing lands before the yard is even open, and a day off remains a day off.

Remedial set, on referral

The round only pays if the yards are close.

One horse an hour beyond the last yard costs you the afternoon. Claim the areas the round covers and an address outside them never becomes a job.

  • Claim the areas, not a radius

Pick the areas you genuinely reach off real boundaries, and an owner outside them is turned away at the first step rather than after you have quoted.

  • The distant yard may still ask

Beyond the boundary the owner leaves a request instead of a booking, so a new patch is a decision you take rather than one you drift into.

  • Divide the patch between you

Where two of you cover different areas, an area belongs to one territory and the person who works it, so neither of you crosses the other.

A map with three service areas shaded over a street grid, and a list of territories beneath, each a group of counties with its crew.

One app for the whole job

Everything you need to run your farriery business.

Scheduling

Eight horses in one yard booked back to back, and the whole morning moved to a drier day when the arena will not hold a horse still.

Bookings

Every visit on the round in one list, each carrying the horse, what went on its feet and whether the owner has settled up yet.

Online booking

Your own page, where an owner takes a trim or a full set at a time you had already set aside for that end of the round anyway.

Inbox

A sprung shoe or a horse pottery in front arrives as a request on the thread, with what the owner said attached, to accept or decline.

Estimates

Price a whole yard line by line, or a remedial set three ways, and let the owner accept it by typing their name on their phone.

Customers

Every horse its own named record under its owner, with the interval it holds and every set of shoes it has had from you since.

Territories

Claim the areas the round genuinely covers, so one horse an hour beyond the last yard never quietly appears on a Tuesday.

Team

Each person with their own hours and their own services, so remedial work is only ever offered to whoever is trained to take it.

Payments

Record the cash and the transfers at the yard for nothing, or send an owner a link. Cards are the one part that needs Pro.

Common questions.

It can. The horse is its own named record under its owner, and the standing arrangement that returns it to the book runs on whatever interval that horse holds, so a five-week hunter and a nine-week pony are tracked quite separately.

Once you switch it on, yes. Every notification ships turned off, so nothing is sent on your behalf until you decide it should be. Enable the booking reminder and the owner is emailed ahead of the visit, which tends to settle the catching problem.

It does not, and it makes no claim about who may shoe a horse here. Farriery Ireland keeps the Irish Farriery Register as a directory of practising farriers, and its school runs the SOLAS apprenticeship leading to the QQI Advanced Certificate in Craft in Farriery. Bookables can carry that on the booking page copy you write, and keep the shoeing record behind it.

Two shapes, and you choose the one that matches who pays. Either each owner is their own customer with a booking at the same address, back to back through the morning, or the yard is the customer and the visit carries a line per horse. One bill is never split between owners.

Drag the morning onto another day and every booking on it moves together. The changes sit as a draft until you commit them in one go, so a washed-out Tuesday costs one decision rather than eight telephone calls.

It is. The free plan carries a monthly allowance of bookings that comfortably covers a full shoeing round, with no card and no time limit, and the standing arrangements the round depends on are part of it. The plan cards below carry the numbers.
