Repeat bookings

A repeat booking, called a series, holds the same slot for a regular: every Thursday at 09:00, or every other week. Every future date is held for them, so nobody else can book it. Each date becomes its own booking as it gets close or when you change it. Find them under Bookings, then Series.

A series, with its dates, one flagged as a clash, and the rule

Start a repeat booking

  1. Make sure the service allows it

Open the service in Settings, then Services. Under Repeat and return, turn on Can be booked as a regular.

  2. Make the first booking

Choose New booking, and pick the customer, the service and the first time.

  3. Choose how often

Under Repeat, choose Every week, Every 2 weeks and so on, then Book.

If some dates are already taken, they're left out and you're told how many.

A customer can also ask to repeat when they request a time. Accepting it, with Accept weekly or Accept fortnightly, starts the series.

What's on a series

  • Dates: each upcoming date, with its time, price and status. Booked means it's held.
  • The rule: the customer, the pattern, the time, the Price per date, when it started and when it ends.
  • Past dates and History.

If a date can't go ahead, like when someone's on holiday, it's flagged with a suggested fix. Choose Accept the fix or Choose another. Until you do, the date stays held and nothing is cancelled. A date that falls on a closure shows as Not held.

Change one date or all of them

Choose Change beside a date, then what to change: Move it, Change the price or Cancel it. Then choose which dates:

  • This date only: the rule stays as it is.
  • The date and following: the rule changes from then on. Past dates keep what was true.

Pause, change the price or end it

The buttons at the top of a series:

  • Pause: release the dates between two days for others. The customer keeps the dates after.
  • Change price: a new price from a date, after the notice your terms set. Dates inside the notice keep the old price, and the customer is told.
  • Set an end: no dates are held after the last date. Late cancellation fees only apply to dates already inside their own cancellation window.
