Add-ons and questions

Questions are what customers answer when they book. A question can change the price and the time, like dog size or number of rooms, or just ask for something you need to know, like a gate code. Add-ons are questions too: a choice with an extra price, like "Deep conditioning +£10". Set them under Questions, on Price and time.

Three kinds of question

  • Price by…: price by a detail Bookables already knows about, like a dog's size or a home's bedrooms. The answer is remembered on the pet, person, place or vehicle, so returning customers aren't asked twice.
  • Ask for…: ask for one of those details without changing the price.
  • Your own question: anything else, in your own words.

Add your own question

  1. Choose Your own question

Under Questions, on Price and time.

  2. Write the question

    Under Question, like "Hair length".

  3. Choose how customers answer

Under Customers pick, choose One choice, Any number of choices, How many (a number), Short answer, Long answer, Yes or no or A date.

  4. Add the choices

For choices, give each one a name, an Extra price and Extra minutes if it takes longer. Choose Add a choice for more.

  5. Save

Tick Required if every customer must answer, then choose Save.

Add-ons

To offer extras, add your own question with Any number of choices and give each choice its price, like:

  • Deep conditioning, +£10, +15 min
  • Nail trim, +£8, +10 min

Customers tick what they want, and the price and time update before they book.

Price by a number

With How many (a number), the price can be per unit. For example, "Rooms" at £25 each makes three rooms £75. You can also price In bands, like under 10 kg, 10 to 25 kg, and 25 kg and over.

For guest numbers that might change, turn on Can change until nearer the day. The customer can change the number freely until the date you set under Fixed from.
