Prices and durations

Every service has a price and a length, set under Price and time on the service. Most prices are shown to customers up front, even as a starting price. Questions and price rules can add to it, and the total is worked out before the customer books.

A service open in Settings, with its sections down the left and the listing preview showing 45 min, from £25

Set the price

Open the service from Settings, then Services, and choose Price and time. Under Price is, pick one:

  • Fixed: one price, like £35.
  • From a starting price: shown as "from £25", for work that varies. Questions and rules add to it.
  • Per hour, day or week: a rate, with Charged set to per hour, per day, per week and so on.
  • Quoted each time: no price up front. Customers ask for a quote.

Charged also covers prices per person, per visit or per room.

Set how long it takes

Under Time, set the Length, like 45 min. What you see here depends on the kind of service:

  • Arrival window: for visits, give customers a time range instead of an exact time, like 09:00 to 11:00.
  • Travel and gap: for visits, the time kept free after each one, or the travel to the next if that's longer.
  • Gap after: for appointments and hire, time to reset or clean. It's blocked, not sold.
  • Booked by: for hire and spaces, whether customers book by the hour, the day, the night or set times like "Morning".

Price rules

Price rules change the price when something is true, like +£5 on Saturdays.

  1. Choose Add a price rule

It's under Price rules, on Price and time.

  2. Say when it applies

    Under When, like "Saturdays".

  3. Say how the price changes

Under Change, like "+£5", then choose Save.

For a charge that depends on where the customer is, like parking or travel, use the price rules and travel charge on a service area instead.

When payment is due

Under Payment and terms, choose when money is due: On the day, Deposit when booked, In full before the day or After, by invoice. The dates are copied onto each booking, with your bank details.
