Installers setting a rooftop solar array in the UK

Booking software for solar PV installers in the UK.

The roof survey books itself, at a price

A slate roof, a chimney shadow and a tired consumer unit do not show on a satellite. The survey sells as a paid visit; systems arrive as requests.

Smart scheduling

Scaffold up, two days on, and a visit back

The scaffold week, the roof days, the electrical day and the return once the network answers all hang off one job rather than four diary entries.

The survey is a booking, not a favour.

An hour on a roof with a price on it, sold from your page like any other job, so the look that eats a morning stops being free.

When the install diary is full till spring.

Solar sells in waves, and the install days go weeks out. A page with nothing free on it reads rather like a firm that has stopped trading.

An install is days, not a slot.

Two days up top, an electrical day, and a trip back once the paperwork clears. Read across weeks that is obvious. Read as one day it is not, which is how a second job gets sold over the first.

One roof, three systems.

The array that fits the good half of the roof, the one that fills it, and the one that fills it and replaces the consumer unit while you are there.

  • Priced off the survey, not the street

Orientation, pitch, shading and what the board will take are what move the number, and all four come off the survey.

  • The payback sits under the sizes

Set the sizes beside one another and the conversation quietly stops being about your price and starts being about which array.

  • A number set once

The quote number is fixed the moment it is issued, so the document you sent and the one they open a week later are the same one.

  • System options come with Pro

Pro puts the sizes on one estimate as named options, each with its own lines and total, and one marked as the one you would fit. The customer accepts a size by typing their name.

The panels are up. Nothing is exporting.

The roof work is two days. The network notification, the certificate and the export meter belong to other people entirely.

  • The notification sits on the job

The G98 notification, or the G99 consent where it applies, is filed against the booking so nobody chases the network twice.

  • The certificate goes with it

The certificate the customer is handed lives on the record too, which is where they will ask for it again in four years.

  • The supplier closes it out

The export side is the supplier timetable rather than yours, and saying so from a record beats saying it from memory.

Money that does not wait on the meter.

Weeks pass between the scaffold coming down and the thing exporting. There is no particular reason for the money to wait them out.

  • Cash and transfer are free

Mark it paid and the receipt sees itself out, with no plan involved in any part of it.

  • Cards come with Pro

For the customer who would sooner tap than go looking for their account details on a Sunday evening.

  • Staged, after the booking

Pro splits a booked system into a leg at install and the balance once it is signed off. It happens on the job, never at a checkout.

A list of payments, each with the customer, reference, date, method and amount, with totals received and still outstanding.

Built for solar

Built for every kind of array

On-roof domestic systems

A smaller array and a bigger one priced off one survey, accepted online, and the size they settled on booked in as an install.

In-roof integrated arrays

Trays, flashing kits and a slower day on the slates, so the quote and the booked duration both allow for it rather than the crew doing so.

Slate and clay tile roofs

Lifted slates and hooks set on the batten, priced off the survey photographs on the record rather than a guess from the pavement.

Scaffold-dependent jobs

The scaffold week is held as its own block on the job, so a tower going up late moves the install rather than losing it.

Consumer unit work before the install

The board that has to change before anything connects, quoted on the system document rather than raised on the morning itself.

Inverter replacements

A dead inverter booked as a service call with the original install, the string layout and the commissioning notes already on the address.

Adding to an existing array

The old system is on the record, so what the network already agreed to is read off the job instead of chased down again.

Commercial and barn roofs

A unit or a barn roof surveyed once, quoted per array, and installed across several days that stay tied together as one job.

Bird proofing and mesh

The mesh a customer asks for two years later, quoted from the array already on the record rather than another trip to measure.

Battery and charger retrofits

A battery or a car charger added to a system you fitted yourself, quoted off the record rather than another visit to look at it.

Three crew members on one timeline, each with their jobs laid out across the working day so gaps are easy to spot.

Who is allowed on the connection day.

Each person carries the work they are cleared to do, so the day that needs the qualified name on it is only ever offered to that person. Everyone else sees the address and the start time on their own lane, and not what any of it is worth.

Six weeks of “any news yet?”.

While three other organisations take their turn, you are the only person the customer can ring. One thread against the job is cheaper than one call a week.

  • One thread, filed on the job

The conversation lives on the booking it is about, so the next person to open it reads the whole wait rather than guessing at it.

  • Requests answered in place

A job that could not book itself arrives as a card in the thread with accept and decline on it, not a notification pointing somewhere else.

  • Reminders you switch on

Nothing emails your customer until you turn that moment on. Every one of them ships off, which is the right default for a long job.

One inbox holding customer messages, team messages and Bookables notices, with unread threads marked.

The address outlives the install.

A system you put up is on that roof for decades, and the call about it will come from somebody who has forgotten every detail. The record has not.

  • Photos and notes stay attached

Survey shots, the string layout and the commissioning notes sit on the record as internal posts the customer never sees.

  • The paperwork is where you left it

Everything the job generated is attached to the address, which is where somebody will ask for it again in four years.

  • What they paid, and what is open

The record carries the value of the work and anything still outstanding, so a service call starts from a number rather than a search.

One app for the whole job

Everything you need to run your solar business.

Online booking

Your page sells the roof survey at a set price and files the system enquiries as requests, so nobody books two days of crew from a phone.

Estimates

Two or three system sizes on one document with an expiry date, sent as a link, and stamped the moment the customer opens it.

Scheduling

Scaffold week, roof days, the electrical day and the visit back once the network answers sit on one job, so the gap you left stays visible.

Bookings

A booking carries the roof covering, the pitch, the panel count and the inverter, so the van is loaded correctly before anybody sets off.

Customers

Every address keeps its panel count, inverter model and string layout, so the fault call six years on opens with the system already there.

Territories

Pick the ground worth taking a crew and a scaffold to. Past the line a job asks first rather than booking two days out of your week.

Team

Only a certified installer is offered the roof day, and the labourer sees the address and the start time rather than what the job is worth.

Inbox

The customer asking when they go live keeps one thread on the job, so the answer sits beside the notification notes rather than in a text.

Payments

Cash and bank transfer recorded by hand are free. Cards come with Pro, as does a leg at install and the balance once it is exporting.

Common questions.

You can. The survey goes on your booking page as a visit with its own price and duration, and where the service is set to credit it, that fee comes off the estimate as a line when the visit becomes a quote.

They can, on Pro. Named options live on the one estimate, each with its own lines and total and one marked recommended, so the customer settles on a size rather than collecting a third quote.

On the job. The G98 notification or the G99 consent, the MCS certificate and anything the network sends back sit on the record feed as notes and attachments, with any return visit booked against the same address.

Yes. Set the install to request only and leave the survey self-serve. The larger job arrives as a request in the inbox, with photographs, and you accept it once somebody has been up the ladder.

Each day is its own block against the one job, and the database will not put two active bookings on the same crew at once, so a second install cannot quietly be sold over the first.

It is. The Free plan carries a monthly booking allowance with no card required and no per-job fee, and recording cash and bank transfer by hand costs nothing on any plan.
