Add your first service

Open Settings, choose Services, then Add service. Type what you offer, pick the closest match and choose Continue. Bookables fills in sensible settings for that kind of service, so you can save it straight away and adjust it later.

New service, asking What do you offer? with suggestions

Add a service

  1. Open Services

Go to Settings, then Services, and choose Add service. You can also choose Add a service on your listing.

  2. Say what you offer

Type what customers would call it. Pick from the suggestions, or choose Browse every category.

  3. Name it and choose how it's booked

Give it a name and a description. Choose Instant book, Request to book or Quote first.

  4. Set the price and time

Enter the price and how long it takes. The preview on the right shows how it looks on your listing.

  5. Add it

Choose Continue through the rest, then Add service on the last step. It's on your listing and your booking page straight away, unless you made it Private.

How it's booked

  • Instant book: customers pick a free time and it's booked.
  • Request to book: customers ask for a time, and you accept or decline.
  • Quote first: customers send an enquiry, and you price it before anything is booked.

Not sure? Start with Request to book. You see every booking before it's confirmed, and you can switch to Instant book once you trust your hours.

The other steps

A new service walks you through seven steps. You can skip past most of them; the defaults work.

  • What it needs: the people or things it takes up, like a stylist and a chair.
  • Payment and terms: when money is due, and the cancellation terms customers agree to.
  • Repeat and return: whether it can be booked as a regular.
  • Its page: detail customers see before they book, and how each booking runs.
