Addons

The optional modules that decide what your app shows you.

Bookables runs mobile trades, salons, hire yards and class studios out of the same app. If every one of them saw every feature, all four would be looking at three quarters of a product they will never use.

Addons are how that is avoided. Each one is a module you can turn on or off, and it takes its menu items and its settings pages with it.

Find them under Settings, then Addons.

What each card means

On. Active. The card shows a live status line, like how many territories you have.

Off. Not active. Nothing about it appears anywhere in the app.

Unlocked. Off, but Bookables thinks it suits what you sell, so it is surfaced as a suggestion rather than hidden. A salon that starts hiring out equipment sees the hire addons appear as Unlocked. Once you have made a decision about one, it stops nagging.

Pro. Available on the Pro plan. See Plans and billing.

The addons

Estimates. Send proposals customers can accept online. See Proposals.

Territories. Define the areas you serve, and check customer addresses against them. See Territories.

Route scheduling views. Map-based dispatch views on the Schedule page, with drive times and routes between jobs.

Timeline view. A horizontal timeline with a lane for each person or thing you own. See The schedule views.

Operators and crew. Crewed hire, where an operator is booked alongside the asset with their own availability and rate.

Pickup and delivery. Deliver hires to the customer, or run one-way pickups and drop-offs.

Recurring bookings. Standing arrangements that keep landing on the calendar. See Recurring bookings.

Classes and courses. Run classes by the session or sell a whole course. See Classes and courses.

Accounting. Send bookings to your accounting software as invoices and keep payments in sync. A Pro addon, with its own usage cost shown on the card.

What you start with

A new account gets a sensible set based on what you told us you sell during setup. A mobile trade starts with estimates, territories and route views. A class studio starts with classes. A hire yard starts with the timeline.

Nothing is permanent. Turn things on to try them, and turn them off if they are not for you. Turning something off never deletes what you have already done with it.
