Adding a bookable
People, spaces and things: the resources your services are delivered with.
A bookable is anything a booking can take up: a person, a space, or a thing. Each one has its own calendar, so nothing gets double booked.
Find them in Settings, then Bookables, and press Add bookable.
The three kinds
A person. Someone who does the work. Adding a person here also lets you invite them to the app as a team member, though you do not have to: a bookable person and an app user are separate ideas, so you can put a contractor on the calendar without giving them a login.
A space. A room, court, studio or bay.
A thing. A vehicle, tool or piece of kit. You will be asked what sort of thing it is, because it decides what specs its page offers you afterwards. A vehicle has a transmission; a trailer does not. The choices are Equipment, Vehicle, Trailer and Boat.
Note: All three are offered on every account, whatever you already sell. A yoga studio adding the room it teaches in should not have to already be in the hire business first.
Naming and hours
Give the bookable a name, and set when it is available. By default it follows your business hours, which is right most of the time. Anything with its own pattern, like a court that is booked out to a club on Thursday nights, gets its own hours on its page afterwards.
If you are adding several of the same thing, you can add them in one go rather than one at a time.
Attaching it to a service
The last step asks what people book on it. You can attach it to an existing service, create a new service on the spot, or skip and do it later.
Skipping is fine. A bookable with nothing attached simply is not bookable yet.
Editing a bookable
Open any bookable from the Bookables page to set its photo, its specs, its own hours, its rate, and whether it is active. Marking one inactive takes it out of the running without deleting it or losing its history, which is what you want when a van is off the road for a fortnight.
