Sharing and tracking
Finding your link, getting it in front of people, and measuring what works.
A booking page nobody can find is just a nicely designed form. This page is about the last mile.
Your link
Under Settings, then Online Booking, the Your booking page panel shows your link, with a button to copy it and a button to open it.
Where to put it
In rough order of how much work they are against how much they return:
- Your email signature. Free, permanent, and it goes out dozens of times a week already.
- Your Google Business Profile, as the appointment link. This is the big one for local trades: it puts a Book button on the thing people already find when they search for you.
- Your Facebook or Instagram page, as the action button and in the bio.
- Your website, as the button on every page rather than buried on a contact page.
- Your text message replies, instead of "what time suits you?" and the four messages that follow.
- Printed things: the van, invoices, business cards, the sticker on the box.
Tip: The single highest-return change most businesses make is replacing "give us a call" with the link, everywhere it appears. The call is the friction.
Analytics
The General block takes two tracking identifiers:
Google Analytics tracking ID, for seeing how people arrive at your booking page and where they drop out.
Meta Pixel ID, for measuring and retargeting Facebook and Instagram advertising.
Both are optional and both are off until you paste an ID in. If you are not advertising and not reading analytics, leave them empty.
What to actually look at
If you do set analytics up, two numbers are worth your time and the rest is noise:
How many people reach the page, which tells you whether your sharing is working.
How many of them finish a booking, which tells you whether the page is working.
If plenty arrive and few finish, the problem is on the page: prices that scare, no slots available soon enough, or too many steps. If few arrive at all, no amount of tuning the page will help and the link needs to be in more places.
What is next
That is online booking covered. Next: Messages and notifications.
