Your team and roles

Inviting people into your workspace, and what each role can do.

Your workspace can have as many people in it as you need. Find them under Members.

Inviting someone

Press Invite and send an invitation to their email address, choosing the role they will have. They accept, set a password, and they are in.

The two roles

Owner can do everything: manage the team, manage roles, manage billing, and change every setting.

Member can work in the business and change settings, but cannot manage the team, manage roles, or touch billing.

For most small businesses that is the right split. The people doing the work get on with the work; the money and the team stay with you.

The primary owner

The account has one primary owner, the person who created it. That role cannot be removed by anyone else, which is what stops an account being locked away from the person who owns it.

Team members and bookables

Being a member of the workspace and being bookable are two different things.

Someone can have a login and never appear on the schedule. Someone can appear on the schedule with no login at all, which is how you put a contractor on the calendar without giving them access to your customer list and your money.

You control who is bookable, and which services they can deliver, from Bookables and from each service. See Adding a bookable.

Who covers what

Where you use territories, you can also turn individual members on or off per area, so jobs on the other side of town only go to the people who work there. See Territories.

Removing someone

Remove a member from the Members page. Their history stays: work they did, notes they wrote, bookings they ran. Removing access does not rewrite what happened.
