Choosing what gets sent

The full list of moments, and which ones are worth turning on first.

The Notifications page lists every moment available to your business. You only see the ones that apply to what you sell, so a plumber is not offered a class session reminder.

Switch each one on or off, and where it counts down to something, set how far ahead it goes.

Customer moments

Booking confirmed. Sent when you confirm a booking. The single most useful message on this page.

Booking reminder. Sent ahead of the booking, a day before by default. This is the one that reduces no-shows.

Booking rescheduled. Sent when you move a booking.

Booking cancelled. Sent when a booking is called off.

Booking completed. Sent when the work is done.

Payment receipt. Sent when you have been paid.

Payment request. Sent when you ask for money, with the link to pay.

Standing arrangement set up. Sent when a repeat is established, so the customer knows what has been booked in.

On my way. Sent when you mark yourself on route. Worth its weight for anyone who travels: it is the message customers most want and least often get.

For hire businesses:

Pickup reminder, ahead of collection. Return due, ahead of the drop-off. Overdue return, when the gear has not come back.

For classes:

Session reminder, before a session. Session moved, when a date changes.

Internal moments

Online booking received. Something came in from your public page.

Staff assigned. A job has been given to a team member.

Operator dispatched. For crewed hire.

No-show. Somebody did not turn up.

Unread message. A conversation is waiting on a reply.

Where to start

If you turn on nothing else, turn on these three:

  1. Booking confirmed, so people know it worked.
  2. Booking reminder, so they turn up.
  3. On my way, if you travel, so they stop ringing to ask where you are.

Everything else is refinement. Those three do most of the work.
