Plans and billing

How the free and Pro plans differ, and how billing works.

There are two plans, Free and Pro. Find yours under Billing, which only owners can see.

Note: The billing page always shows your current plan, your allowance and what you are paying. Those figures can change, so treat the app as the source of truth rather than this page.

Free

Free comes with a generous monthly booking allowance, and it renews every month rather than being a one-off trial.

For a great many one-van businesses it is the whole answer: booking page, schedule, customers, payments, the lot.

Everything you do on free is yours. There is no point at which your data becomes hostage to an upgrade.

Pro

Pro is charged per booking, so you pay for the work you actually take rather than for a seat you might not use.

Pro adds:

  • Options on proposals, so one quote can offer good, better and best. See Proposals.
  • Staged payments, splitting a job into separately invoiced pieces. See Taking payment.
  • The accounting addon, syncing bookings to your accounting software.
  • The email editor, for rewriting what your automatic messages say.

How Pro is billed

Pro is billed from a wallet. You top it up, and each booking draws from the balance. The billing page shows what is in it, roughly how many bookings that covers, and your invoices.

Keep an eye on it. If the balance runs low you will get a warning, and if it empties, new bookings arrive as requests rather than being taken instantly. You do not lose the work, but the customer no longer gets a confirmed slot on the spot, which is most of the value of having a booking page at all.

If you have standing arrangements running, an empty balance also stops new repeat visits being created until you top up. See Recurring bookings.

Which to be on

Stay on free until something on the Pro list is genuinely costing you work. The honest test is whether you have lost a job because you could only send one number instead of three, or because you could not invoice a deposit separately.

If you have not, free is doing its job.

What is next

That is the tour. If something here does not match what you see, or you cannot find what you need, get in touch and we will sort it out.
